Hello from the Summer Sunset Festival
organizing committee, and thanks for your interest in the 2010 event. This is
the 10th year for the Festival which runs September 3, 2010 through September 5,
2010. The Festival has become a huge and popular community event.
You can bring the kids and enjoy events like
the Parade and Kids' Korner. All ages will love the Tilt-a-Whirl,
Ferris Wheel and other Carnival Rides, and we have several rides for the little
ones, too. With or without the kids, come enjoy the Live Music on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights.
Stroll through the Craft Show on Saturday,
with over 30 exhibitors of home-made, quality items, and come back Sunday and
stroll through the Business EXPOsure to see what local businesses have to offer. Then stick around for
delicious Food from some of the area’s finest restaurants. Every
evening there are Great Bands playing on the Main Stage, and admission is ...
The Summer Sunset Festival is FREE to
enter to enjoy live music every evening on the main stage and most
other events. The only
attractions you can spend money on are Food, Beverages, and the
Carnival.
Be sure to be at Sunset Park on Sunday
night for McHenry County’s best Fireworks show. Bring a blanket and some lawn
chairs, because there is lots of room just south of the parking area to sit and
watch the display, which will be almost directly overhead.
